Advanced Boro Patterns 2 - Daddy O
Where? FlameTree Glass In Atlanta, Georgia
Class Fee:$400.00
Date: Sep 29/30 2012
Basic experience making striped and solid colored tubing or having taken Advanced Boro Patterns 1 would be beneficial. These techs will be covered, but briefly. This class focuses on patterns made from such tubing and how to put them together to make large multi-sectional pieces.
Day 1
A brief reminder of techs taught in AP 1 along with some new ones. Students will see multiple sections made using these patterns, which will be assembled into a large piece. This will be a fast paced day focused mostly on lecture and demo. Students can work at their leisure but are encouraged to bring a notebook to jot down important notes.
Q&A followed by a practice session of the techniques taught that day.
Day 2
A more relaxed day with time to practice, ask questions, get some one on one help, and fine-tune what you've learned. This day will be devoted to thinking outside the box. Students will be encouraged to step outside of their comfort zones to explore content and context as well as technical aspects of their work. Plenty of discussion and creative exercises to stimulate your inner artist.
