Mild damage to six lily pads, but nothing catastrophic.
That made me chuckle ...
my lily pad gets damaged, too, sometimes ... I'm jealous that Chihuly has 6 of them :(

I gasp and get angry to think that you don't cherish any life as much as a person's life. What is the value of another's life????????????
Plants are people too!

I was just in Tampa Bay this last weekend.
they have an entire "collection" inside... maybe they shouldn't be keeping that stuff outdoors.
for as much grumbling as we do about the man, you can't say that the works themselves aren't wonderful

He has amazing apprentices to do the work for him they should be hailed for there great work as well much credit should go to them imo. His vision is great tho.

Chihuly IS a great artistic designer. Artistic DESIGN is where it ends though. His "underlings" are the true artists.

My problem with Chihuly is that he is an "artist" for snobs, critics and institutions. They don't have much true appreciation for the art form, just a desire to impress people with the cost of their collection. I'm sure he was relevant in his early days, but now I think he's just cashing in on his rep. I'd trade a dozen Chihulys for one Paul Stankard any day of the week. (The person or his work)
