I have never used dichro before due to the cost but I found some cheap on eBay and was wondering if it would be good to learn on. I am also confused as to whether I should get it backed with clear or with black. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Also if there has been a thread that answered my specific questions please tell me I did a search but found realitivly little as far as the backing goes.

Are you working with 104coe? Probably not since most people here work boro and not soft glass.

that is 104 coe. If you are working Boro which is 33 coe it wont be compatable.

I'm a newb as well, but I'd stick with coatings by sandberg, and pick out colors that I like.

I am using 104 currently so the coe is correct I just was curious as to what the advantages of having it backed in black were and if it was going to be easy to work with or burnout easily.

Thanks - Zach

There are some you tube vids that show the use of dichro.
