Hey guys, thanks to this forum's help I put in a good 20 hours on the torch in 2 days! (glass is addictive). I was wondering though, will shutting off my torch (but not bleeding the lines) after every piece be bad for the torch? Id like to stop after every piece and write down what I did, but I dont want to waste gas. Advice?

No, shutting off the torch is fine.

You only need to bleed them if you're going to be away for an extended amount of time. It's safer that way to not have gas in the lines, and it also backs off the pressure on the regulator to help it last longer.

^^^^ what Menty said.

Also, instead of writing down what you did after every piece, make like 100 of them, then write some things down. Practice makes perfect. Not trying to be a a$$, that's just how I was taught. "the first 100 don't count bro"
