Hello my name is J and I have been on the site for awhile and just registered. I've spent many hours reading and learning alot.
I've got my studio set up and have had a chance to spend a couple of hours behind my torch. Been picking up tools, kilns, building the studio and getting the other things I need from Ebay and CL. I have always loved glass, since I was a kid and went to the local fair and watched a blower there and wanted to do it. Well the time has come and money also and I'm going for it.
I live in the Everett, WA area and was wondering if there is someone close by that might teach me some basics. The time behind the torch is great and frustrating as I learn. The site has great information and has given me some ideas to incorporate into my studio. Here are some pics of the studio.

Thanks, J

Thanks for the welcome. I've already talked with E and he has answered many questions and it is appreciated.
I'll be here in the forum with questions and then back again behind the torch having even more fun!
Thanks again,
J

welcome to the pot. i could be wrong but i dont see any ventilation. if you are serious about working with glass dont skimp on a good fan and ducting. lots of info here if you have the patience to read through the posts..... it is worth your health. good luck with everything!
