So most of the time I set up at places where electricity is provided. However I want to do this one outside fair and it runs into the night. I would like to keep setup after dark but I dont want to lug around a noisy generator. I have an inverter but was wondering what size battery should I get that would last at least for 3 hours. Anyone have any suggestions on what battery I should get? I will probably run only 5 to 6 lights. I will being using the 13w 120vac 60hz bulbs. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks

Here's my setup. Talk to your battery supplier about your needs for sizing. munkinarts.com/blog/2009/09/16/the-battery-chronicles-continued/

I use a deepcycle interstate battery, I can check the size if you like? its pretty big one... the folks at the battery shop should do their best when you explane what you need it for. Having a charger is nice too if your festival runs for days.

They also have a warrenty on them...

Have fun !!!

OH I also picked up some 12V compact florecent lights so I can run them of a regular car battery in emergency situation of no juice, sometimes even when electricity is provided at a show it cuts out for a while on rare occasions, and its hard to show and vend glass in the dark:D

I had a chamber of commerce event I worked where the building lost power.

For the first 45 minutes I was the only one in the hall with lights because I bring my own.
