I wonder why noone produces and sells a spoon mold. I mean just the end bulb with the bowl would make things go real fast. It would be a simple mold to produce and a foot operated closure would make using it very simple and quick.
I would think the market would be great for it right now.

Just thinking.

I am in the market for tools and i had been thinking about something like this after seeing there wasnt one on any sites id been looking at. I agree that there would more than likely be a pretty good market for them.

i really dont think that would make very desirable spoons.

what is your experience using borosilicate for hollow molding? if you've never done it i can tell you it has the potential to (poorly) solve one issue (that's not even an issue), and create 10,000 others.

spoons really come down to just blowing the glass.

its a bubble...just blow it. Using a mold would almost make it take longer/be harder.

i use to use a marble mold when i made all dichro spoons, less heat easier to get a nice bulb w/o potentially burning it up.

I make my spoons to not look molded. those would be boring. And what just prep the color and condense in the right areas. If not it would be thin where you blew ir out.

Sweet. I need one. I think I've wore my double out. Probably only making 1.5-1.75 blown now.
