So i got some devardi shorts, some of which were odds and lengths of 12 inches. It festers like a madman, uneven consistency with pockets of clear, consistently through it. Is it consistenly inconsistent? Anyone else think this is trash? The clear is okay but not this color garbage?

I bought a small sample pack back at the beginning of the summer. some of the colors were ok, most boiled like crazy no matter how soft of a flame i used. the only rod in the pack i liked was cobalt blue and even that had weird streaks in it.

What do you expect from sweat shop made Indian boro?

Never even heard of this shit.
I find boro materials tend to be a get what you pay for kind of deal. This isn't a low overhead kind of business or an affordable hobby.

sweat shop or no, it's intriguing to watch people throw around blowtubes with huge gathers on them, all workers in bare feet and no eye protection at all. terribly dangerous working conditions, these people are artists too.

Also, I think this (posted in the other thread linked above) sums it all up pretty well:
I've never used this stuff, but have a hunch that its shit glass.
Navy blue, Deep lapis and teal are all the same exact picture, just photoshopped to look like different colors.
Lily pad green and turquoise are also the same picture
As is red, army green and medium brown.
So if they have to represent 8 different colors with 3 pictures and some photoshop action, I'd have to assume its shit.

I have both the lily pad and the turquoise, they are most definitely different colors.

Crap color is good for wrap and rake or if it's sandblasted after then it doesn't matter if it's boiled.

that's the #1 reason i don't use devardi's soft glass any more.
