Hey everyone! Long time no see!
Back in midsummer, a couple events transpired... my computer's motherboard went out, and I ran off to Minnesota for a couple weeks to visit my girlfriend. While I found a beater computer up there to transfer all my junk over to, upon my return I moved into a house that doesn't even have internet access... combining that with the sort of awkward I-don't-really-feel-like-this-hunka-junk's-actually-my-computer feeling, along with some personal matters, put me in a bit of a funk and I stopped participating in a bunch of online communities.
But no more! I missed you all, and being able to reflect on life and discuss that melting passion with all sorts of people from many different ages, demographics and backgrounds... well, it's a unique experience, and I've learned so much from this community that I couldn't bear to stop giving back. My studio is in need of a bit of maintenance, so I'll try to document some of the things I'm doing to try to rejuvenate the place. There are a few tips and tricks I have in mind, and now that I've finally got a camera of my own I should be able to manage making some various toolmaking tutorials along with building out a glass studio in a 7 by 14 travel trailer from the 70's. It's going to be quite a project, but at least the next time my woman runs off to some obscure area of the country I should be able to tag along - one of the main reasons I got into being my own boss in the first place.
I hope you're all doing well... keep your goggles dark and your kilns warm!
