Hi guys, I ordered two m-15 concentrators from unlimited oxygen on September 14,2012. It's been over 4 months since I placed my order and I haven't received anything yet. I know they are known for being pretty slow, but they have been keeping me waiting longer than GTT did and it's starting to get frustrating.
I sent them an email on November 20 asking for an update and they said they hoped to have mine in a week.
On December 5th I emailed for an update and they said they were working on x-mas orders...
On December 13th, (13 week mark from my order) I emailed for an update and never got a reply.
I called early in January and he explained that they had been working on x-mas orders but they had my concentrators ready and they were just waiting for boxes.
On Jan 13th I asked if they were able to ship them out the previous week and they said that they got the boxes and they were ready to go.
On Jan 17th they sent me a paypal invoice for the shipping charge. I paid it and sent them an email asking for an update, never got a response.
and I just sent them an email yesterday, I haven't gotten a reply yet.
I really don't like badmouthing people, It's just that refilling my oxy tank is relatively expensive, and I had been planning on getting these 2 months ago, it's really starting to affect my budget. I'm going to give them a call tomorrow if the concentrators don't arrive today...
And I'm sorry for having one of my first posts complain about a company, but I'd really like some insight or advice on what one of you would do in my situation. Thanks for taking the time to read

I'd really suggest calling them. Paul hasn't posted in so long, but in this thread (http://www.talkglass.com/forum/showthread.php?6067-Oxygen-Concentrators)he has some contact info posted in a couple places. Let us know how the call goes, please. :)
Oops! Wrong guy, I think only Jack runs it now. Here's his page (http://www.talkglass.com/forum/member.php?4666-jack-Ridgeway), hit him up.

my mom bought some stuff off this company in the past and it was a joke the whole way along with the oxy cons (she bought 3) showing up in cardboard boxes with a single layer of bubble and the cases smashed to living shit and the internals broken. replacements took forever good luck.

I have nothing but good things to say about Jack and Unlimited Oxygen.
There is a reason their prices are so good. They have a very small staff and struggle to keep up with the demand. They clearly state orders take 8-12 weeks.
I feel it is worth the wait, personally.
If you have a problem, call him. If they are struggling to keep up with orders, then I doubt they have time to answer questions on a forum. A phone call is usually all it takes.
Good Luck. Hope you get your order soon. :)

Yeah they can be slower than they tell you, it's always "I'll ship it next week" or "I'm just waiting on one last thing". However, the concentrator runs like a charm and I have nothing bad to say about the actual product. Just call at least once a week and hopefully they'll get so annoyed that they just ship it :) Nah I kid, but actually stay on their case.

I ordered two M-20's Oct 10th and received them in 7 weeks. But it took me calling every week and getting put on the "Hot List" as I was told. I was told at week 3 "next week it will go out". After I paid the shipping invoice it still took 4 days to ship.Pick up the phone and call on a weekday as I never got an answer on the weekend.
Jack is very nice and accommodating but has a issue meeting the deadlines he states. I would buy from him again if needed, but I know how to get results now.

I am sorry Guys. You are right. I have a habit of estimating a completion time that just dont come about. Sometimes when I get a status check call, I really dont know how much longer it may take to complete an order. So I try to estimate the time frame. There are so many different vendors that I deal with that there is no way to really give a honest date. I am backordered on parts and other items almost weekly. I am also in competion for every used unit I buy. I use to be able to buy 50 retired units at a time, now most times just 5 or 10. I know it can be frustrating for my customers. Most understand, but the ones who wont wait, I have to juggle the schedule and find a way to deliver or chance a refund request. I have a plan that will catch me up at least to within 30 days. It is time to step it up. 3 Month wait is jsut too long. We are looking for investors to help us get a bigger building and buy larger amounts of parts and Zeolite and all the necessary items. This way we dont run out of stuff and we can keep a steady flow on our orders. I have a great relationship with my customers and I love what we do. I love that fact that I am working with the greatest community of artists anywhere. My hope and goal is to make it easier for people to order and recieve the oxy units they need and in a timely manner. Please hang in there with us. It will be worth it. Jack

I know it's a long wait, but what in this life isn't? Especially for the good stuff. ;) Jack and his crew have always done their best to help me out over the years. I really appreciate their help when things go awry. As for UO2's packaging, mine came double boxed, plenty of peanuts and styrofoam. Hang in there, you'll love it when you get it.

Jack,
Thanks for responding. I have a question about your responce. You state that you adjust the schedule to avoid a refund request. However, when my mom passed, I requested a refund as I needed to meet unexpected financial responsabilities and was told no. I feel this part of your statement is misleading. I sold both my units un-opened, however, the way I see it, had you refunded my purchase you would have had two units to provide to someone behind me.

Do you guys ever sell "Remanufactured" or slightly damaged/used items? I vaguely remember watching a video of a guy going over his set up of 3 mx-15's where they were all "remanufactured" and got a steal on the deal. I'd love to be able to possibly pick up a few used whether be 2 mx-20's or 3 mx-15s eventually :)

Jack's prices are better than the refurbished units you'll find other places, unless you're willing to scrounge around craigslist or post in the glassifieds it's pretty much the best deal you'll get from an actual company.

My thoughts exactly. Kind of an odd way to tout your customer service.

I am usually able to replace broken or non working units. I cannot afford to refund money after I invest it in a unit, for all the parts and time to build it. I have refunded money to customers out of country, who cant send units or parts back. I also do free shipping and shipping refunds on units that arrived broken, but still work. I have had units arrive with a big crack in it due to shipper handeling and have the customer tell me they will keep it for a partial refund. I should have said it differently.

If you dont mind small cracks and some scratches, I can put together a cheaper M15.

Well, Jack sent me an M15 to Belize without any problems and it does what it's supposed to do.

was this the video with the redmax and 3 m15's?
i think those were purchased at abr scratch and dent.
i've bought two of those scratch and dent ex15's from abr....and i can't for the life of me find any scratches, cracks or dents. i also have one of the mini-15's from unlimited oxygen and that's supposed to put out 6lpm at 15psi, although the mini 15 seems to put out just as much as the ex15's.

yep, istandalone . Now that I think of it it was that video! I was fairly surprised with the power the mx-15s put out. I'll have to keep an eye out on ABR's website for the scratch and dent deals! Thanks

We bought a hurricane concentrator in 2010 from Jack and have had no issues other than regular maintenance on it. At the time it was very speedy but I can see why he is backed up. The machine we bought has been a power horse ever since we bought it. Went from a scorpion to a kobuki (lynx) and has had hard production hours on it. Still works great, minimal breathing and cheap oxy.
Yesterday my wife and I were going over our equipment energy usage and figured the unit cost us in our area $0.07 / hour to run a lynx. Very happy with our purchase and can't wait to upgrade the system this year.

I've had good experiences with Unlimited Oxygen, just want to throw that out there.
Now I know this doesn't ALWAYS work, but my advice - when ordering stuff, if you want to get it fast, pay right away. Send money right after you hang up that phone, while you are fresh in the person's memory.
Everyone like's getting paid. I'm sure it won't always work but I've had great luck ordering stuff just by making sure I pay IMMEDIATELY.

I got them on Friday, double boxed w/ foam and packing peanuts.
They work pretty well. They aren't terribly loud and they output enough oxygen to run the inner fire of my phantom close to what tanked is like, but there is definitely a difference. Overall I'm happy with my purchase, I just wish they had gotten here sooner.

Did talk to Jack, and he says it's finished.
Can't wait.
