odd way to start a video, with dude tossing chunks of his recently exploded tube and melting in the cracks in his prep..
but nice vid otherwise.

Lots of the people blowing glass in this video will be at the AAGI...Joe Blow, Stoke, Kind...maybe even JOP and Elbo...crazier things have happened.

Yep that second piece is insane. What catches my eye is that he's runnin the candles at like 2.5 inches for more than like 10 seconds. does a minute or two of longer candles not really do as much damage as I thought?

That caught my eye too.
Maybe its just a really short propane rich flame that does it? Or maybe he's running the outer oxy very light to keep everything cool? Obviously the dude knows what he's doing.

Short candles hurt the gtt guys, not long. And that is Stoke making that second piece and he certainly knows his shit.

Thank you for clarifying that Aymie. And yes he does, what an amazing piece.

I have friends who run really short candles as well. The most important thing is that you keep a very close eye on the face of the torch. If it starts to glow or build up carbon you are killing the torch. I am pretty sure that as long as those two things aren't happening, everything is fine.
