Is there anyone else who will be shipping glass to the show? I was looking at the vendor packet and it's expensive to have your glass delivered directly to the convention center. I am weary about flying with pipes in my luggage.

You can usually get packages sent to you at your hotel.

Hey Ben, I am assuming your talking about the texas show? Do you have a booth? Was contemplating heading down there myself...

Yeah I have a booth. Im hoping to fly in the weekend before as long as I can ship my glass there safely.. otherwise its a 22 hour drive

Ben, you should mail small boxes to the hotel you are staying at.

You can usually get packages sent to you at your hotel.

They don't have to be small boxes, unless you're worried about damage during shipping. Being on the road alot, I've had tons of packages mailed to me at my hotel in the middle of tour.

Just let your hotel know, that you're expecting packages and to please hold them for you at the front desk, and inform them of fragility

I would not send large boxes to a hotel that could possibly be taking in a hundred or more boxes in a couple day span unless if you are ready for them to charge you about the same rate that the drayage company at the show would. The Hyatt and Embassy know whats up and are ready to take on a large amount of boxes for this show. Please call them ahead of time to verify.

Fortunately, I was able to find an alternative shipping location that I can pick up on Saturday. The convention center would cost me around $200 just to receive the shipment.
