Ok so I have color coming in. What mm rods and tubes should I have around to start with?

I plan on making mibs, pendants, maybe a pipe or two for some friends, goblets when torch allows and sculptures.

Once again any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

Liam

For rods I use 8, 10, and 12 a lot. I also use 1" for the centers of vortexes and the like. I use 4mm for wiping.

For tubing, I use 22 and 25mm heavy for most all of the tube work I do. I also have some smaller tubing (12mm?) for encasing opals and such. I'm not really a pipe maker, so I don't know what to suggest for pipes, but for inside out beads, implosion pendants and marbles, and stuff like that, those sizes work for me.

i couldnt live without some good thick stock like 20 mil. theres really no need to 'gather' with it and really makes things go alot faster. you can always use it to pull stringers of anyseze needed too

i have just started on the pipe side of things and prefer the heavy wall, it gives nice solid finished pieces. some thinner stuff is easier to manage if ur gunna be making it into things like goblets etc
