so recently my cobolt 5, and possibly turbo, have been fuming my pieces when i use them for parts of surface attachments. it doesn't seem to color the piece, but i do feel the need to burn it off (complusive i guess..). (no, it's not my tungsten, i burn it off before i use my W)

anyway, i don't know if it's the batch, using a gtt, or if i've just never noticed in the last few years.. heh.

i've been meaning to ask this for about a month.. somehow i always forgot to post. boy that bugs me.

so.. anyone got a clue on that?

thanks--z---seth

gotta oxidize the hell out of those super saturated cobalts, even on a GTT

erm.. i'm not saying the cobolt reduces or changes color.. it still appears black.

i'm saying the surrounding clear gets fumed.
