Why, when you can have others do it for you? (http://www.talkglass.com/forum/showthread.php?48097-Aura-Lens-or-Phillips)

yeah, if being an asshole means linking you to a thread that has 3 pages of peoples input and opinion. come on he helped you out wtf?

the only thing i see is that there are probably some new glasses out that weren't on the poll option but people may have discussed them. I'm gonna go see.

Sounds like you need a safety break imo. If you wanted to know about some glasses then you should have posted in the thread you were linked to before any of this even started. Then at least it would have looked like you tried and find something out for yourself.

Personally I have used the phillips split lens goggles, with a 5 shade on the bottom, and also used the glasses from wale B3 series. My eyes seem to feel about the same but I've only been blowing glass for about 2 years.

I was borrowing the split lens's when I first started, and when i decided to buy my own I went without the split lens because it always felt like I was looking through the top half instead of the bottom and was making me tip my head forward which was causing some neck pain.

i got these frames with prescription with the ACE shade 3 and AR coating and Im pretty happy with them. I got the silver. (there radiation specs but they can make them for glass lenss) they come with a nice strap and feel heavy duty.

You have more options if you dont need prescription.

ps. if you need specs quick i wouldnt bother ordering from aura!

Maybe, to get a bunch of useful responses, you can edit your initial post and clarify (or ask a mod to edit the title of the thread). A lot of times, people will read just the first couple of posts and figure it's a "use the search function" thread and just move on. :)

Phillips will cut lenses to any frames you have. I enjoy my googles though. No light seeps in which keeps me from freaking out that goblins are running through my studio. Yes I become delirious sometimes working late nights, staring at the flame and lack of water.

Anyway utfse!

Maybe you could take a minute and organize your questions into one thread, rather than clogging the whole forum up with all this day 1 garbage and getting butt-hurt when people actually provide the answers for you.

Barry - I have some B3's too but nothing to compare them too. Haven't been on the market long I believe but I like mine.

although when it comes to safety, one should not cheap out....but $65 for those glasses is imo a great price. i haven't noticed any eye fatigue at all.
