Yea I wasn't planning on going the economy route...just wondering what brand claw other people were using for this application...not trying to get some jank...I have a few claw grabbers...none that are as sturdy as I would like...I figure the ha will prolly be the best route...

Why not work the top anneal or cool? Then work the bottom by using the top as your handle/blow tube.

Made a few this way...I have been adding some horns and such in the middle...also I have been make most of them under 10 inches so its pretty short to be workin without a handle...I like having a blowtube tube on the top for adding the gong and attachments...need a sturdy way to flare the mouthpiece in the very end..I have been accomplishing them both ways...

This ^^^^ I can't stress enough how much I hate using my economy claw grabbers they wiggle and scratch everything. Spend the extra money and buy the quality ones like I'm sure the Herbert Arnold grabbers are

wale had some decent ones at sgi last weekend. but they needed to be one size bigger...good metal construction, looked sturdy. hopefully dan gets them to puttogether one size bigger on their claws.

^yes rookie...I have saw that thread...it's talking about a traditional grabber for smaller objects mostly...I was inquiring if anyone had good information on a grabber that would perform well holding a larger object well...i have grabbers that work great for 95% of what I do...need something sturdy for mini tubes...seems like the ha are the best option....thinking ill grab these

Unless there is a better option....

I see I see

I have seen on the those HA ones in person, and godamn they had some serious clamping power, so assuming your piece fit their claw nice, it should really grab on.

.......................I recently picked up a "medium" pair of grabbers, the blue ones from m.g.a.. I like them better than any other pair I have owned . I thought that they may have sent me the large by how big they are . ( they charged me 60$ so I think they are the large. ) They have a wood handle , (the wood handle one I received from whale was not nearly as nice ) the metal is all counter sunk into the wood , beefy. This pic was a day before I got the blue ones. They replaced these "economy grabbers" . They had no problems ( shifting , scratching ,flexing ect. ) holding this full color dub bub rig . (15", 18mm , shower head to inline , recycled , no room for error from claw holders.)

The H.A. ones may be better , I have not used them .
