Could someone explain the correct way to hook up a smutboy pedal.Ive only used a pedal one other time, and im not familar with how they work.I hooked up gas on one side and o2 on the other, and instead of switching flames it shuts them both off.Im sure its very simple, but i just dont know.
Thanks for your help.

oxygen and propane lines from your tanks (after regulators) go into the side with 2 hose barbs on each of the oxy and propane.
the extra hose barbs go to the inner flame of your split manifold torch.

the hose barbs on the other side of the box go to your outter flame.

this way your inner flame always has gasses going to it, while the outter flame only has gasses when you click the pedal on..

if you have one of those pilot flame versions.. i don't know.. haven't seen one of those.

Chris the O2 for the first stage will hook up to your o2 concentrator,
The o2 line from your tank hooks in to the O2 in (thats the side that has the side outlet on the "T" pluged off.) The o2 going out for you're second stage hooks up to the nipple coming out from the back of the valve.

on the other set of valves you hook you fuel line up to the gas inlet (its the one going straight in to the "T") The nipple coming out from the side of t on that side goes to out your first stage fuel, The nipple on the back of the valve goes to your. second stage.
the second stage shouls turn one or off and the first stage should stay on all the time.
Make sure you din't get of of the hoses back wards as to what stage they go to.

IN in the front
OUT to the center from the sides.
OUT to the outter fire/2'nd stage threw the back.

if there still is a problem getting it hooked up i can give you a call and we can see whats up.

They where pretty silent Before. BUT NOW the new improved on is almost too quiet now that they make no noise.

I went in to the shop last week and found out I have had one of my pedals turned on for about a month and had been in and out of the shop a bunch of times to get stuff and bring stuff up to the shop. But I never heard it on at all. I went to move it and I felt that it was on. Good thing they can take being left on for weeks at a time with out any problems. Also good they don't use much electric.
It sure beats leaving the kiln on. LOL
