Halleluja for change!! Rule 16, removed from our community! :chilling:

16. Due to the legal ramifications regarding glass pipes, any advertisements for the sale of such items is prohibited and subsequent posts will be removed. Thank you for your cooperation.

soo, why did the TOS change? what has changed on a national level?

Moved conversation here out of respect for the sales thread the question was asked in....

Awareness has changed nationwide.

The largest website in the world allows posting of not only pipes, but pipes in use, milk shots, dab shots, everything under the sun. Auctions, sales to any state, weed sales, oil sales, you name it, it takes place on Facebook and multiple other websites at this time.

Also currently:
18 states and washington dc are medical
6 states are working on medical
16 states have decriminalized already!

We are winning this war. The only thing that ever kept us back from allowing pipes before was the need to protect our community. The world has changed enough that this protection is no longer needed.

so are we no longer claiming "for tobacco use only" ? what about dirty pieces? oil rigs? milk shots on here? pics of concentrate/flowers? not that I want to post any of this stuff, but if the rules are not clear to a T you can bet someone will post all of the above.

I'm not sure what everyone else "claims" but I make pipes, to me they are art pieces. I make them to enjoy. I chose pipes because they are challenging, not because you can stick some pot in them. But I do like to enjoy them that way as well.

However, I don't want to see that stuff here because I don't want it automatically tied to us as glass artists. Just because you can stick some pot in a bowl, doesn't mean that's why someone bought a pipe. I also don't think it's professional what these kids are posting now days and I've tried very hard to create an environment here that feels professional enough that people will be respectful to their coworkers (as that's what we all really are) without feeling like you need a suit and a college degree to post here, ya know.

In light of the professionalism we seek as full time glass artists, no dirty pipes, no oil/weeds/etc in the shots, etc. type pics will be allowed here. Thanks ahead of time for the cooperation!

lol, you could get rich off them though...
i am glad the posting of such will not be allowed here.
although it would be cool to have just one thread of dirty color changers. i know there is a treasure trove of badass oldschool fume work within this community

I'm wondering if this means people will start buying and selling pipes here?

Color changing glass can be colored in with tons of things. If there were a specialty thread of such pieces showing the effects of fume changes done professionally and properly I don't see a problem. But it's one of those things that members would have to be very aware and mindful of to keep from spilling over in lame ways. Luckily most people who have been around here for awhile would help keep the lameness at bay.

Easy peasy, just keep it about glass, that's what we are here for right! :D

No ma'am, I am here for the stimulating conversations about sandwiches.

Particularly what breads and cheeses are best to start with as a beginner.

I remember a post on GP.org a while back (I think it was Jlee but cant remember) who made a really nice fume piece, and to show the effects, he plugged the holes and filled it with soy sauce. it effectively darkened the inside and was easy to clean out.

I've been told you can plug the holes up and fill it with coffee and you can just wash it out

I always wondered if you could slip a black ballon like the ones you use for making balloon animals into a pipe and inflate it.
