Bought a Bethlehem PM2D Model B and a wack of tools and glass recently.

I have been learning at a friends place. He makes spoons and ornaments with Boro. Its real nice to learn on. I have been making pipes after 10 hours or so of practice so i am pretty happy with the hobby. Not that I am too interested in making pipes. I just wanna melt.

Check out the pics and tell me what you think. Anyone ever seen or use glass like this? whats all this worth? Any advice on a cheap kiln? should I build one?

I have some questions about the torch too. Has anyone done the copper tube wrapping to water cool this torch? What do I gain by doing this? Does this torch have a maximum run time before it starts to get too hot internally? What is the run time of Stock vs water cooled?
And has anyone ran natural gas in this torch? Do you need a NG compressor or does 1/4lb allow you a decent flame?

The glass is soft glass color rod used in offhand glassblowing. Checkout Olympic Color Rod for value.

A buddy helped me figure out its soft glass. Does anyone know how to tell the COE from what is written?

Most of those colors will fit a 96 clear.

Nothing on those bars states a coe.
