i haven't put up pictures of much for quite a while.. so here's two from august 05.. heh. i'll be putting some more up occasionally.. or something.

i just love closeups

i'm wondering how to get rid of the camera lens reflection.. any ideas? i'm thinking about submerging the lens in water, with the piece in water.. i dunno why there might not be a reflection that way.. doesn't seem to make sense... but.. maybe.

hope ya like it.. it's almost too simple for me, but i think that's why it stands out for me. (the fairy one that is)

i really like the spacey one.. copper can give such bright yellow/oranges sometimes (haven't figured out when though.. weird stuff)

heh.. and pressed fairies look funny =)

Seth,

Those are killer! The space pendant is...WOW! Really nice.

About the light glare, I tried the water thing last week takin a pic of a marble, just put the piece in the water, not the lens, you won't believe how nice the photo comes out. I used a white cereal bowl for my marble. I think this is how I will do all my glass photos from now on.

Anywho, thanks for the eye candy!

Light glare- I find hot spots (as long as they are small ) for less objectable than most all other methods. Water shots kill the color. Soft boxes create a white reflection from the box. That white reflection kills the color. Just pull the lights back so that the hot spots are small and take your pictures. It is the best choice. CraiG

to get rid of the glare, use a light defuser, or photograph it under water.... like put the piece in a container with water in it, and then photograph it.

the tissue paper is the light defuser:
