The tanzinite black is the shizzle. If you don't have it, you are retarded. It has some limits... but for what I need it for... lets just say I need it. I don't know what the deal is why Jay can't get it off the ground without money and support (that's how I do my thing, lol)... but you dirtbag distributors need to see a good thing and get it to us when it's there. Fuck the fact you can't make a round foot with it, it's black for christs sake... and there are other colors. Let's get this shit going. Jay has the right idea.

I agree the tazanite black is the shit ,so is the mystic green and blue lightning taqela sunrise proved to be a little tricky though . It must be worked in a nuetral flame or it turns amber . I have not tried the amber silver yet seems like amber purple

Here's the deal... whether or not we like the chinese tubing (and I have said I would rather piss on a spark plug than use it) it is the best option we have for colored tubing to date. We need distributors selling this product so Jay can make more shit and get more experiments going for more colors. Personaly, I am happy that he has black that works. So... demand that you can get this product so he can go to work. I don't care if you have reservations about Jay, his business, the chinese, or the glass itself... we need this shit. Support it. I plan on trying to make it my mission in life to have access to this material because it makes my overall job much easier.

Here's what I see. Sooner or later someone is gonna draw colored tubing in cobalt (and other colors) that is the right shit for the job... and then Jay will be able to coat it and make it happen for us. I want to beg alchemy, or northstar, or Abe to draw me down some real fucking tubing... but I know it's just not in the cards right now. But it's not that far off I think. So let's try and support Jay to get this shit off the ground. We will all be alot happier and working less. My two cents.

Uh... yeah, some hand drawn tubing that I have never seen in my career. I've talked with Abe about it... I planned on getting some... but we need precision pulled tubing I think. Just a guess, but hand pulled tubing in boro is equivilant to hand pulled Lauscha tubing... it's great, but it sucks at the same time. Just like the Chinese shit except not hand pulled. So figure it out color companies. We need real tubing that is colored, why are the chinese making it and we are not?

I want a few different colors, mainly just the green, and i want to try the quantam tube. When Abe gets the machine pulled tubes, I will invest heavily. The tubing he allready makes is the shit!!!! I gotta get some more. I think the main reason behind that is the way industry is run and funded in china. Its not like here.
but the bigggest factor has to be energy. Energy is substidized and basicly free to any large industry in china making goods for export to the U.S. then labor is cheap and insudtry can aquire capital easier for a venture in china then in the states. Imagin the stuff that U.S. Co.'s could do if they had no power bills.

DA has invested gobs of money to bring the quantum tubing to the market.
The only distributers willing to carry it are A2 arts,and Glass Evolution.
I know Vapor will have it soon.
I was told by all the BIG distributers we count on, that they will not bring in new products unless there was a solid demand from artists for the product. This sucks because how are artists supposed to access new innovations if the distributers won't carry it!!
The Quantum tubing is cool because DA took the chinese innovation,and blended it with USA technology to come up with an entirely new color concept- furnace pulled color,with metals sprayed on the inside bonded to the glass to produce a new color.
Now we have machine pulled color tubing that is exotic,and smooth black that no one else in the world has access to except us right here in the USA!!!
I believe this is the way to stay ahead in our market today,we must be supportive of artists and distributers who invest in new innovations for us to keep our advantage.
Glass Evolution was opened because no distributer would carry the new innovations DA is involved in,mainly high detailed dichroic imaging,Quantum color tubing,DA dichroic.
DA will be releasing some new technology right now,mainly new sprays,one spray will turn your piece into a rainbow of color like oil on water,the other spray is a dichro spray that anyone can use at there glass station to make post production dichroic coatings on any glass item you want,the cost is very small,around 1/10 of the normal cost for this process.
Take a moment to think about your current distributer,when is the last time that they came up with a new product for glass artists?? DO any of them even have an R&D Dept.?
DA spends most if not all there profits on new ideas,and artists promotions. We have a passion for glass that goes way beyond money and business. Just the same way when you make a head piece the need for approval,and support is really important if you are going to continue to develop new ideas and concepts for glassblowing. We also need this support if we are to continue taking chances on developing new technologies for glass artists. NONE of DA products-DA Dichroic,Quantum tubing,or DA dichro images are sold to any one outside USA and Canada. Also within the USA and Canada our products are regulated so no volume amounts find there way overseas. I believe DA has the right idea for the future of our glassblowing,create and protect USA innovations and allow USA Artists to develop concepts from them that keep us ahead. If someone is biting on your style,or if you see your stuff coming in from overseas,try adding a DA image,or some Quantum tubing,or DA dichro coatings and sit back,relax,and know for sure you will not see these elements in any imported stuff. I have lost a lot of revenue not returning the calls of ten countries trying to buy DA. If you look at all the imported stuff that looks decent you will noticed alot of our primary color companies have sold out to overseas markets to increas there volume,thereby selling out our american innovations for profit.
Anyway,I have said enough. The people who read this and understand,please call us at DA to find out more.

This guy has what I need. Colored tubing and airbrush technology. Not too mention he can get me some images on flat glass to get my ideas across. I starve for my fucking chance to get my work out... because I make glass to buy more glass and then invest in my own artwork and my partners so that we have a chance to stand toe to toe with the market. All of my shit goblet wise is R&D and most of you are in the same boat.

So even if we have trepidations about this tubing from China, Jay is making it tolerable because the sacrifice in shaping is avoidable and practical to avoid the inherent problems with the bass product.

My 2 cents... we finaly have something we all want as a time saver. We just need to show that we are willing to buy it, use it and in essence further Jay's production of these new innovations.

If I can get the sugar daddy on board, I'll buy all of it I possibly can. But right now I just need to stay clear on my own goals... but in the process of doing so I think I might be able to open some eyes to a pretty exciting thing that is developing slowly from our perspective.

He's had this shit for two years! WTF! Why didn't I have some to say something earlier. It's not the end all for my work, but it is an equalizer... and if your hearing it from me, Mickelsen, Slinger and various others. You know we aren't stupid newbies... for those who know us know we don't bring milk to the bar. This is for real and it's time to roll.
