I usually just use plain ol' chinese blue tube. It works well enough for me. If you're looking to get tanzanite black tube, you can pick it up at www.glassevolution.com. I have been wanting to try out some of their tube for a while...just can't afford it yet! Soon hopefully!

John, definetely talk to Robert Mickelsen,he is responsible for finally getting the word out about this new line of color tubing. It was his Discoveries, along with Dellene Peralta that got this Quantum color tube Company off the ground. His students from his classes are now taking the lead. I believe classes are the best way to get ahead, and support the innovators in our industry.
Mickelsen Knows Quantum, take a class from him or call him up.

Of course you can always call us at DA to discuss the possibilities!!!

If you are looking for a very dark blue to mimic a black or some thing. tanzanite black is suppossed to the the tits for black.
If you are looking for a more tridishinal blue like a good colbalt blue. the blue tube from china that genrations glass and others have is as good as is gets. Its straight, Its round and even walled and the blue is a good colbalt blue thats very saterated with color. Its like a good real cobolt blue of days past before every one started making color and only good color exsisted. It don't reduce, burn out or fade It don't scuzz or haze or require the lamp worker to over come any short comings of the glass. (gee what ever happend to good colors like that that din't need to be babied?)

Most of the colors from china tend to suck as far as the colors go but they got the dark cobalt color right on. Thgey din't try to get all weird on it or try thinking out side the box they just did it the way your supposed to do cobalt blue with freaking colbalt. LOL not silver or any thing else.
John your in the upstate ny area right? If so you could check out some of the blue tube we have. If that will help.

I absolutely love the Azure Blue. Nice bright blue and it's really easy to work. Not as stiff as some of the other blue colored tube.
