Jeremy Grant-Levine – AKA Germ, AKA Germ Lion will be teaching this 3 day class on Feb 21-23. Germ is hands down one of the best east coast glass instructors, and incredibly respected amongst his peers. In this three day class he will be covering a wide range of hollow work and assembly techniques AND introduce you to finding yourself creatively in the glass world — focusing on what makes you stand out as an artist.
The class will cover:
- Hollow shaping
- Technical assembly
- Mini tube construction
- Rigs
- Seals
- Glass theory
- Whimseys
- Identifying your artistic voice in glass
- Marketing your work
For this class some clear and colored glass will be provided. If you plan on doing some serious work, you should bring your favorite glass with you.

We are located just a short ride from both DCA and IAD airports. Accommodations are also so close to The Heat Base you can walk (about 10 min). We are steps off of I-95 for those of you who want to drive.
