Harold (HWC) has (had?) one of these, they're neat.
A company that's kind of part of Rio Grande (The Bell Group / Berkshire Hathaway) called "Ultrasonic Mill" makes some ultra high end ultrasonic mills as well for cutting and shaping ceramics, gems, and glass...
I'd love to play with one for a few hours.

it drilled pretty fast in that video.
supposedly one can drill multiple holes at once.
can drill very small holes
high tolerance of completed hole
tiny diamond bits dont last long so i feel like a slurry would be improvement

Yea a slurry would probably be better than a diamond.
If you stabilized the dremmel you could probably be almost as accurate with it and a slurry. Just need a mill table and vise for grabbing the glass.
