Hey, i'm looking for someone (probably with a lathe) that can make me some wine glass tops and bases. Essentially what abr sells but not made in china.

http://www.abrimagery.com/product_info.php/burgundy-goblet-p-1733

I want to make the stems for the wineglass but am unable to make a high quality top. Let me know if it's something you'd be interested in doing a run of. I'd probably be looking to buy an intial order of $250 worth or so. I'm in eugene and northern cali so it'd be even better if you were local (but not necessary).

Hi there,

I could make them but the shipping from Germany is some 65.-USD.
And maybe a few bucks for customs.
I´m shipping my glasses worldwide.
As I am not living in China, the prizes of my goblet tops are about double than theirs.
You can also get oxyde coloured items (have look at my thread "oxyde and salt colouring explanations).
Here some samples of goblets,I´ve made:
58420
58421
58422
58423
58424
58425

Hope you like it

Is that burgundy glass shape what you are looking for?

I just want a normal wine glass shape. I don't want it to flare back out at the stop. Just your every day normal wine glass. . shipping from germany isnt really an option. Thank you though.

Uniform goblet tops with lips that don't have a outward flare are not easy.

Any one skilled that can make matching tops and bottoms will charge you out the yang.

I can maybe help. Just would have to pick up some 65x3.2 from glasscraft later today.

Ok, so these are about 3.5" wide by 3.75" tall. $11 for the cup and $8 for the foot.

Simax. I don't really trust the chinese to have even enough wall thicknesses. Also hard to find chinese that isn't heavy wall. The 65x3.2 is nice because it is heavy enough to keep some weight to the glass, but not so thick that the wall thickness varies a ton.

Hi,

Very well done.
As mentioned before,it´s not the easiest to make em without a thicker rim.
And the price is about double than chinese stuff.(meaning that its worth every penny)

You're killing me on $8 a foot but I think I might be able to work with you on the tops. I'll shoot you a pm.
