First of I've been trying to become a newbie for a while now reading contemporary glass and spinning pencils for practice
Being in Alaska not much shows up on craigslist so when It did I just dove in
I paid 1000$ and got
a aim 99l kiln digital
3 torches one is really small think it says smith on it the other im pretty sure is Nortel Major/Minor Bench Burner with Surface Mix Top Burner and third im guessing is a
Carlisle CC+ Ball & Post Mount - 4 Inlet - both torches have a waterline wrapped around them hooked up to a water pump
a Carlisle rmb foot controller
a bunch of glass all different sizes
a couple paddles and a big slab of graphite
Ill try to get pictures soon

Sounds like a good deal! Just the kiln and Carlisle are worth $1000.
The water cooling looks incredibly janky, especially on the Major. I'd probably take that off.

Kiln and torch for $1000 is a score, all the rest is just a bonus.
Yeah, that's a steal. The Smith is going to be your best friend in like a year and a half.
Hell yea that is a good deal, sounds like it was blowout priced.. Was it a scientific guy you scooped it up from?

Im just stoked that im finally going give it my best.
Time to start building the studio I think if I throw another grand into this I should I Have a nice set up
My plan is to get about a couple good months on the torch and fly out somewhere and take some classes
Do you guys think it will be harder learning on a cc

Hell yeah. Way to come up on a steal. I got a red max, jenken kiln, tanks, regs, hoses, hand tools and a case of 25 mill all for 800 on craigslist. Its definitely worth it to check it out on a regular basis.
