blastsheild has one that will get you most of the way there...your still going to need to mark the right spot on it thought to not go to big.

i just got a blastshield 14mm in male and female. somtimes i get it just right others im screwed. i can tell with practice this will be pie.

BUT. i want a reamer (s) the same taper as gong. its silly to me to be using a different taper than gong.

so which reamers are 10:1

I use the blast ones....... can you clarify what tech you are talking about?

mine are the same taper as my joints.... yes they flare at the handle end of the female holder ..... I just don't understand what you need , what won't they fit ?

I'm pretty sure that this one is close, I think this is the one that I have (with a different color handle) and you could probably just cut off the part at the top that is too narrow.

i used to hunt for the right reamer, but i got a brass joint shaping tool from griffin tools, and it kicks ass. its like a short brass reamer. i actually dont work on getting the right taper with a reamer though actually until the last step. i just use a paddle and make the angle approximately in the air in the flame, then when its close, use the 14mm brass shaper. then a couple dips with a wax coated glass joint for perfect fit.

i think ill get one of those griffin brass gong reamer. seams perfect for the job. makes so much sense to use a proper shaped OCTAGONAL REAMER to make joints.
and the brass doesnt wear out.
id still like to know where to find 10:1 graphite reamers tho........
