Yeah, Loren's not bad at this shit. (Understatement of all time...)

I've seen one of those slices, up close and personal. "Amazing" would be a pretty good way to describe it. And believe me, even at $5K each, they aren't overpriced.

So is that a new pull of it? Cuz he did that a long time ago and its being like the holy grail of murrini and its usually advertised for over $10k per slice...(been forsale on Frantz Art Glass at $12K for years) just wondering why its so cheap compared to the normal price I've always seen them...

I like the built in flat graphite pad...

I believe its the "007" model if memory serves. It folds into the base for travel.

I can't help with any links other than to Loren's website (http://www.stumpchuck.com/apps/photos/), but I can confirm he's playing with boro now. In fact he's teaching classes, one of which ends today (http://www.stumpchuck.com/apps/calendar/showEvent?calID=6862638&eventID=236683396). He had already started making boro murrini when I saw him in Atlanta about a year ago. At that time, he told me he planned on doing more of it, and teaching classes as well. I guess he meant it. ;)

If you ever have the opportunity and the cash, there's no better glass instructor. But make sure you get plenty of sleep before you go, because you won't get any while the class is going on. You will definitely get your money's worth though. Loren tends to cram about two weeks worth of instruction into a week of classes...

Yea, Lorens shop is in my area (Sacramento) so I definitely want to take a class from him eventually. I just don't know if I can afford $1500 for a class anytime soon. It would be great to meet him.
