Storing finished work

What do folks do for storing finished pieces? I know small pieces like spoons tend to find their way into gun cases and whatnot and usually pretty quick out to a shop (you hope). Pendants too can just go into a jewelry tray or something similar.

But for larger pipes and non-pipe work, what do you do for storage? Shelf in the open? Wrap and boxed away?

I've run into this before with dillys, pen and inkwell sets, hummingbirds, feeders, etc and I usually wind up packing it safely into a box then scrambling to find it again when I get a sale several days later.

Rifle cases. Most have to have some extra padding added to hold things in place.

I have a display case in my living room. And tall wide bench I fill up in my garage.

Leave it on my bench till it's time to ship or hustle. Big stuff gets wrapped, smalls get gun cased.
