I can't wear my contacts for a month (doctor's orders) and my didyium glasses arent prescription! :bangHead: I can't live without doin glass for a month, so is there anywhere cheaper than aura lens that can do prescription ones fast, or am I just gonna have to McGyver some sort of double glasses contraption.

Why can't you wear contacts for a month? Sorry, not trying to pry, I wear them myself, and that'd suck if I had to go through that. I feel for ya.

If it's only for a month you might try rigging someting up, but if it were for longer you could get prescription Aura lenses made. They are a little exspenive, okay, a lot expensive, but they'd be totally worth it, especially if you think you might run into the problem in the future again. Just a thought!

i wear my normal glasses and my didyiums at the same time and i dont notice any discomfort. i dont wear contacts, and i didnt want to get aura lens prescriptions when my prescription might change in the future and i already own nice 286's and dont have lots of money....

so rock the double glasses, works awesome for me, at least for the style glasses i wear...

I wore double glasses for 6 years (seems kinda silly now). It didn't bother me a bit . It may take a little getting used to but it's the quick and free solution.

for 3 years i had an extra set of Rx lenses glued behind my 286's. worked well enough for about a year at a time. use a good epoxy. super glue will off gas when hot and bug your eyes.
.. i did this cause my glasses wouldn't fit behind my goggles.

being able to see after taking glasses off is worth quite a bit =) but so is not wearing contacts..

I have Rx 286 goggle and I love em. They were like $400 from glasscraft about 4yrs ago. My normal Rx may change slightly from yr to yr but not enought to bother me while working.

Andy has always worn double glasses. I asked him if he wanted prescrip. ones and he prefers double cause then he can look over his dydim. after making something to check it out and still see. He hates contacts and wears them like once a year.

yea i actually LIKE my double glasses. my regular pair of glasses is relatively small and not bulky, they hide behind my aura lens 286's and no one can even tell, shit even i forget im wearing two pairs....

If you pop on over to the Aura website (www.auralens.net), I've started working on the new *lower* prices. About half of the product line has been reworked and updated, I'm still working on some of the pages, but the main frames 0101, 0102, 0103, 9501, 9502, and 9702 are updated, also if you select by filter, those are all updated as well.

Prices went down on an average of about $75 to $100 per pair. This reflects our lower cost of manufacturing with the new AGW-300 filter.

At the same time, I'd like to extend a belated welcome to Generations Glass as our newest distributor!! Welcome Kristian!

I've always worn double glasses, but after hearing that prices are going down on, maybe I'll finally get me some presciptions.

so you can't do shade 4 or 5 with the AGW-300 filter? to be used with color/fuming?

Yes we can, as a split lens.

Yea it's kinda funny, I rocked the double glasses after posting this and it worked fine, but now I've gone and sliced my hand open on a sharp chain link fence. Fucking fences, you'd think I'd learn after my previous 2 scars.
