I will be offering an intermediate glass blowing class at Urban Pheasant, Detroit on September 13. The class is demonstration only and will cover a wide range of techniques as well as lecture focussed on the physical properties of the material. My goal is for students to leave with a thorough comprehension of borosilicate and the confidence to manipulate glass in a professional manner.
This class for artists who have a year or more of experience on the torch and prospective students will be screened to ensure the integrity of instruction. Seating is limited to five students per class and costs $350 for an 8.5 hr day which includes an after glow where we will further discuss the material.
A copy of the syllabus is available to prospective students for review. I am quite flexible with the material and am willing to demonstrate just about anything within my abilities.
