I love the webinars glasscraft does, and try to attend as many as I can. I'm really excited for this one. Tomorrow is Bandhu talking about his marble runs! As you can prolly guess by what I make most the time...I LOVE MARBLES! And marble runs, for sure. :D

I have the most bad ass wood one, it's so fun but it's huge so I rarely bring it out. Lately I've been thinking how fun it would be to invite over some glassblowers to play with the marble run...if there were only more of you in my area!

So, who's coming to this webinar? Here's a link if you haven't seen it yet, there's a little preview as well. http://www.glasscraftinc.com/home2/gla/page_17201_993/bandhu_dunham_-_getting_on_track_with_marble_runs.html I've never built a glass marble run but I've always wanted to try. I bet after watching this I'll just have to!

Woot! :bouncy:

Maybe I'm biased since I love marbles so much, but that was my favorite webinar yet! I learned a list of things and am excited and inspired. Woot! :D

Unfortunately, I have only ever made a marble roll. JK, but for real marble runs are so cool, that would be an awesome project!

I have made a marble run, it was not huge somewhere around 12"x12"x12". It was one of the most enjoyable and challenging projects I have ever worked on. I was fortunate enough to be taught how to make them by Bandhu, the man is a wizard when it comes to making them. During the instruction he made a tiny 3"x3"x3" marble run just to show me the basic shape and for laughs he made a tiny tiny little marble to see if it worked, well the man is so good at making them the tiny marble sailed right down the tiny marble run with no modification. He was awesome enough to let me take it after he was done and it is one of my most prized possessions.

For sure. I really want to try my hand at it. Kicking myself for selling my large kiln now but I thought it was just collecting dust. It was at the time!
