Holy balls?

Ha, made you look.

I have a question, those spheres that look like lacework, with a multitude of holes in them, are they lacework like spun glass or just blow spheres with a bunch of holes made with a focused flame?

I may need to make a small one for something and wanted to ask. I know, "go try it." That's my next step, but I wanted to ask first if anyone had any tips here.

i saw a guy pop a ton of holes in a big globe, then melt the edges in on them all and it makes it stronger then. i think thats what you are talking about the holy ball.

The holes are probably done with a micro torch and compressed air

Networked or blown thin and popped using a sharp focused flame.
