if your looking for an oxygen economical torch then look at GTT's. otherwise this thread is not going to tell you much except "my torch uses a lot of Oxy" which my Carlisle does.

My 40mm uses about 1500psi in 6-8 hours depending on what I'm doing.

Some torches are oxy hogs (redmax, carlisle), some aren't (GTTs are reported to be a little more economical).

But at lot of that depends on the pressures you're running at, what you're making, and the skill of the artist running the torch. More skilled often also means more efficient since you know what not to do avoiding extra time with the torch running.

Newbies also tend to rage when they don't need to instead of setting and maintaining a consistent heat base.

For what it's worth? I don't torch as much as I'd like but if I'm making a ~2" marble on my Redmax I can run through 2/3rd of a K tank. Less than that if I'm better about the heat, don't go out of round too often, don't screw up my punty removal, don't drop it on the bench, etc, etc etc. I get my 100# propane tank filled about once a year.

Depending on what I'm making I'll get 8 to 12 hours running my Mirage off a K tank,(244qf), and about 14 to 18 hours on the Phantom.
