Up for auction! 3 separate auctions, each for 1 pound of Dense Pink Slyme made and donated by TAG aka Ptrautman (http://www.talkglass.com/forum/member.php?247-PTrautman) and Firebrand Beads! Paul Trautman invented the equipment, methods and recipes for batching colored borosilicate rod and tube. After selling Northstar, Paul got back into the game with Red Elvis -- the world's first self-striking boro ruby -- and then came up with Slyme, the ectoplasmic green glass that took the pipe world by storm. Paul continues to push the boundaries of boro color at Trautman Art Glass, where the focus is on quality over quantity.
Dense Pink Slyme: Only *slightly* denser. Just like the regular Slyme, the COE is a tad high on the Pink Slyme, and it also likes a bushy flame -- but it does not need as much propane as the regular Slyme to prevent boil. You tend to get a milkier strike with a more reducing flame and a more transparent effect with a more neutral flame. And like all the Slymes, Pink Slyme will be a bit milkier under encasement.
