Just wondering if a live chat room here could be set up here ?

& if the members here would like one & use It ?
I find chat rooms for my blacksmithing are very useful & it keeps me in touch with smiths I know
way far away & local

So whats you're Idea's on this ?

I think itd be a cool idea and a place for the banter alot of people flood the usefull threads with ...itd be a nice addition tho i dont think many older members would use it regularly

we had a few people in "tinychat" in a room called "glassblowershangout". it has text and audio/video but the couple time I got in there we were all on the torch sorta doing our own things, and I have to turn off my mic, because my fans make too much noise.

We had a chat for years but it was rarely used the last few years so I stopped bothering. It's just one more thing I have to make work with the site and I have to prioritize so we stay up to date with everything.

I think I am going to do away with articles so maybe it would give me more time and we could try a chat again. But for now, check out the tinychat app. A lot of us hang out there in there sometimes.

Also we can do a google hangouts. add your name or email here and I will add you to the room.

It may be possible to find a chat plugin for vBulletin.

As a web developer I know it is possible to hack up the core and create a chat.

there is one, but it's not been updated in a bit and I don't trust it right now. I would love for them to update the old one. For now, hangouts is ok. You've both been added.
