i just shot the shit with my oxy place, and he was guessing 700$ for a 5ish person oxy manifold. i think that's pretty high (first guy guessed 500)..

it's not really hard piped..

it's just a braided hose that comes directly off the tank, then basically a pipe with fittings for your regulators to screw into. (my oxy guy was talking about valves to each regulator, if that's what code would warrant..)

i agree, that's expensive.

but, how many of us actually have t's? 7 t's gets 8 regulators. (add one t for every extra regulator)

that would be a bunch cheaper.. i suppose if i get a braided hose that comes right off the tank, we will have less dickin around with positioning the regs and whatnot.

been hoping to swing a pedal that way. Was thinking of you raffeling that off to the peep at the get together.
But sales have been much slower then antisipated for the last few weeks(pedals and glass) and theres just no way I can crunch it in time. Been hopeing each day the drought would break. 'oh well stuff comes in waves I'm just on a down wave right now.

But I still got a butt load of material/supplies to pick from that I can send some thing from.
The off/short/chiped/cracked color tubes are lamer then I was picturing them. Once I got them gathered up and I looked at them.
But just a short list of what I do have.
44x4 color tube. Red,colbalt,amber.
Color Momkas,NS,GA
Cornning Uglass I could let go of a stick for the cause. (But only If its going to be used.)
Also have some 44mmx 4.8mm simax tube. 32mm x 4mm UST.
might have some clear rod I can let go of too. (got to check on that tho.)

What are you all still short on? what do you need still?
and I can also still send one of the big 12 inch by 5 inch vases. Fig that would be great for the raffel.

I would need to take out a wall to bring mine :bangHead: I might be able to borrow an Aim 99l, But that ain't so big....
We could always build a kiln and give it to you for hosting the shin dig. I can pick bricks and cement up at paoli clay if they still have em in stock. They run about $3.00 a brick, IF we can get some moolah together in time I can bring the brick and I already have some sheet metal to build the body. A digi controller and some coils should not be too hard come by. I may have a coil in my stuff......

I'll build It if we can get the stuff in a pile.

It is up to the rest of you to get the pile together! If you want to.

The best way to help out MAtt isn't to make a giant 1200 dollar pice that no one can sell.
I figure doing a bunch of small collabs and prodo crap that actually sells would be the best bet.
This is just my opinion, But it would solve the kiln situation.
I can bring my aim...(dont really want to) and it only has an infinite switch(not recomended for important stuff, or anythigng that sparkles).
But if worst comes to worst, its there.

I did get some days off, thursday and friday, so I wont be able to make it on wendsday.
The offer still stands for the car pool.
If there are any organizational tasks that need to be taken care of, I can do that. I help manage a fortune five hundred company right now so I am qualified.
Let Me know what I can help with and I'll see what I can do.

Hey I finely got that package in the mail yesterday. It was cutting it real close but it went priority mail so it should be threw with a few days to spare.
I had 3 sections of color tube to send but the red one had a crack in it when I was packing it up. So I left it out. But there is a a section of blue and a section of amber. 44mm x 4mm and about a foot 8mm Uglass rod inside the amber tube. its not a whole lot of stuff. But its some thing.
I wanted to send some more stuff but it seemed like you guys already have clear tube and color already.
:Note to who ever works the amber tube!!!!!!!!!!! Its nice stuff and works like butter once its warmed up enought. But you have to start real real gental on it or it WILL explode on you if you plung it in to a full blast flame. But other then that I have found no other issues with it at all. just go gental on it and you will be ok. the blue can take a lil more punishment but being that there is only a lil bit. Go soft with it when you first put it in the flame just to be safe.

It is a top load.top element. with 2 doggy doors with brick plugs and blanket on the doors.it's about 20x16x8 or so deep. We just got in.........we had a blast......Chris and Christy and co hosts Jan and Marlee were awesome. Erin got me inspired in making turtles and Anthony and Seth took me thru making implosion marbles as well as word implosions. For the first time in a long time I came home just charged to get out and get on the torch. Thanks guys !!

Bad ass miswest collab.....dairy land style.
We disposed of 8 cases of moutain creek (aka cripple creek)...nothin like beer thats 7 bucks a case.....
a big bag of dirt schwiz, brats at every meal, wooktick encasements, drunken skeet shooting....oh and a freakin canadian. Definatly represented the backwoods.

Biggles and myself showed up wendsday at about 130 am.....and proceeded to get trashed. about 3 hours into our binge we decided to build a krunk cup(Im sure some one has pics). All I remeber after we started into drinkin/smokin that thing was....well not much. cept the sun came up and we attemted to assemble tents.

Over the weekend some collabs happened.
seth, biggles, and myself made a tube,
seth, biggles and john made a dry hammer thing
Biggles and myself started a gravity perk that we didn'y have time or kiln space to finish.
Al and I made a piece for jan the owner of the place.
And everyone made a few randoms for donation.
We did manage to raise some money for MAtt, W/ the 3 dollar mail in rebate on the black velvet and the money from all the emtys....im sure we raised at least 30 bucks.

But actually we will be posting some pieces for people to check out and posibly buy in the next few weeks (theres still a few things we need to finish)

Maybey once my hangover is completely gone I will remember more.......but thats it for now.

Btw.....Al still sucks at drinkin beers......

You have my apologies..I should have at least posted I wasn't going to make it, My plan was to come up Wednesday and leave Friday morning, My wife and daughter left for Los angeles Sunday at 3 am, I had a bad feeling about them going, neither one has ever been to California before, I have and know they have no street smarts, My daughter plans to attend the school of design in Downtown L.A., and I've been just sick about that Idea, They have a good college here in Wisconsin, at UW Stout for her interests in design, I probably wouldn't of been good company worrying about them leaving...I truly did have good intentions, and had planned to go earlier, before they told me about their plans to go to L.A.

Sorry Matt, all the more reason to attend AGI this year...save the signs, I'll be their next time now that you've made me feel like an asshole..heh heh.
