I don't know if anyone has seen this write up on the Champion so here is a link to it.
Enjoy.

Yeah I read that. He's running the torch between 20-25 psi of oxygen. I don't enjoy that on my Champion. I like right around 10 psi. Other than that, pretty good read.
"The widest part of the flame was almost three inches across."
The face is 1 and 1/8th inches. Does it even fluff out past 2 inches?

yes. 2 .75 easily.
2.75 inches. That's 69.85 mm
That's wider than a 65mm herbert arnold.
All the videos I have seen , it never even doubles the width of the barrel.
I'm not saying" it's not a big hot torch. " it IS a big hot torch.
The 3 inch diameter exhaust on my car is giant when I look at it and think "flame width."
A coke can is not quite 2.75 inches... It's bigger than a coke can ?

I'm not tring to stir the pot. I ask , because I don't have one. Or access to one. If it's really that much wider than a mirage , the videos don't do it justice. It makes the torch a bigger contender for the price. 1 1/8th is 28.575 mm , that is a big face.

Yeah I can get a flame size that's close, but not quite, to a coke can. Flame size is bigger than a mirage for sure and just a little smaller than an elite. However, I do run my champion higher than recommended pressure settings. I do like to make rather large marbles, somewhere in the 3.5 inch and up range so I have squeeze every bit of flame that I can from my torch. The dude in the review said that the flame was "almost three inches". I'm saying 2 3/4, that's almost three inches, right. I'll try to get some pics of the torch with it raging BIG flame.
Don't forget, he that stirs the pot of shit, has to lick the spoon. :)

I don't think I've ever achieved a flame larger than 2.25 but now I'm inspired.
is the radiant heat full tilt tho? my bravo radiates heaps of heat for vac staks but the gtt seems to be more direct.. does the champ just pump heat everywhere?

Your bravo shouldn't radiate heaps of heat if your flame is properly adjusted. Don't get me wrong any torch is capable of radiating heaps of heat but you can control it to tolerable levels. When I am running full blast but controlled meaning keeping the radiant heat in check, I still have to have protective gear on. Even the GTT guys will put on gear when playing with big flame.
