Prism Glassworks is pleased to announce a 2 day class with Kiva Ford April 25th-26th. The class is $600 and requires a $200 non-Refundable deposit. This class will hold up to 10 students and includes lunch on both days. Kiva will also be participating in Troy Night Out on April 24th where he will be doing a free demo and art show in the gallery. Course Description: From basic to advanced borosilicate flameworking techniques bridging the gap between scientific and artistic glass. Focus will be put on color applications, assembling, flaring, encapsulating, bridging, sculpting, and a variety of other technical concepts. Students can expect to challenge their abilities and grow to become a more well rounded glassblower.
Bio: Kiva Ford earned his degree in scientific glassblowing and has spent years creating complex glass for scientist's use. Currently , Kiva works as the manager of the custom scientific glassblowing shop for the University of Notre Dame. Beyond the scientific community, Kiva is more commonly known for his artistic glass creations which are collected worldwide.71486
