Im new here and i want to get into glass blowing. Satori has helped me so much and is even making me a list of things i need to get. But i was wondering if anyone knew of a shop in the northen va or DC area were i could get a torch, glass and other things i might need so i dont need to order them online. Also maryland would be fine because its not that far of a drive.

but they would have stuff like Torch (Minor a Burner by Nortel), Flashback arrestors and Regulators(for oxygen and propane), Fiber blanket, Graphite Paddle, Scoring knife, Blunt End Tweezers, a Bowl Push, and the glasses ill need? pretty sure thats all i need.

Go there and check it out dude! Even if they don't have everything you need, it will give you some much needed exposure to the glass world. Maybe you can pick some stuff up there, but even if not, you'll meet other glassworkers and maybe even get to see some stuff done or buy some bench time or even a lesson. Any one of these factors is WELL worth a trip to that place. Just go! You won't regret it.

NDGG (new dynasty glass works and gallery) is the place i rent time from here in the DC area.
Mike has some torches for sale now, Carlials and what not. they do have a good selection of glass, both soft and boro. if you tell him what you need, he'll get it for you. they have all sorts of tools for sale. everything you listed. if you're looking to rent time they do that too, as well as classes.
Tell them Andrew sent you. =-D
PM me if you need more info.

I live in central va, charlottesville if you'd ever want to hook up. Also I'd probably advise getting an oxy con instead of a oxygen tank. I got my oxy con for the price of a tank and a regulator. I'd use about 10-15 bucks of tanked oxygen a day. But now it's free and and oxy con. Mine was $225 that includes shipping from hobbiesforus.com I got it in under a week two. Two oxy cons would do better than one though, I'd still advise oxycons over tanks.
