Sorry to add another thread to an already clogged topic but I searched for a bit and came up empty
Can anyone point me to the thread or Video about discharging the Cath Ray tubes in CRTs. Just got a pile of them and going to try one after a bit of research. I remember in another thread someone saying how to properly discharge so they dont shock you but I was unable to find it again...
Please help!

Googling "Discharge TV" will provide you a few youtube videos on how to do it.
Honestly though, so much risk for so little glass, most of which is not that great. Have you checked that they actually have gun mounts in them? If I remember right, you work in IT, so I'm guessing you're going off a stack of old CRT's maybe about 10 or so years old? I could be wrong about this, but I think they stopped using gun mounts a good long time ago and had moved onto to different methods by the early to mid 90's.
Anyway, like I said, I could be wrong, but you might want to check if your CRT's even contain them, and then ask yourself if they do, if it's worth the risk for a few grams of sintered glass that is going to shift color far worse than a borobar.
They're fun to play with, but I wouldn't go risking anything to get them.

^^ Good catch, I'll have to double check those to see if that hold true on them! I am not really doing it for useable glass, but more of an experience/ blow shit up scenarios i wanna play out in my head. :devilish::chilling::D
I figured old IT equipment would be fun to try on. If they don't have anything in them they'll just be used for Targets!
Thanks for the info Icarus!
