I want to get these to hold 1 foot sections of 75mm tubing. Is it strong enough? I would rather not blow tube up to it.

I have the small and medium ones, they are the best claw grabbers ever, I love them, very sturdy, strong and well-balanced... not sure if I am understanding what you're trying to do but if you are just trying to hold on to a piece of 75mm they are great. I think I got mine from ABR, they were the best price from what I remember. Shop around. I remember some places had them but they were way overpriced.
