Going to Chicago for the Fare Thee Well Dead shows? We know it will be a long, strange weekend to say the least! So, we will be taking Monday the 6th to travel home, and rest up. But on July 7th and 8th, ABR will be having an open warehouse garage sale and hangout. Not only will we be opening the warehouse for tour and shopping, but we will be opening our studio and scheduling some demos/collabs with local artists and out of towners. We are also working on booking a local venue for music that night. Here's the best part. If you call and register by June 1st, ABR will book and pay for your hotel at the Hampton Inn in Bloomington for one night on the 6th or 7th. If you'd like to stay both nights, the extra night will cost under $100 in our room block at the Hampton. Extend your midwest stay, and come to a great glass event, before going down the road to wherever the summer is taking you.
Here is a preliminary flyer, and details will evolve as the event nears. So stay in tune with our social media, and this thread to keep up to date with artist lineup and music details. Shopping hours will be our regular 8-5 business hours. Demos/collabs will go into the evening, followed by live music at a local venue, near the Hampton.

Excited to update our event is gaining steam. We have booked several hotel rooms, and have a lot of people coming who are indeed travelling through after the Dead shows.
First, we are happy to have our feature glass event booked. There will be a 2 day collab event with Huffy (Volta Glass Studios) and Scott Griffin (Griffin Glass and Griffin Tools) They will be assisted by some of Huffy's guys from Volta.
We have great local artist demos from Seth Bickis, Jordy Minnick, Bob Taylor, and Dene Stephens. We are also still going to announce another feature demo. We have a couple exciting things in the works.
We booked an absolute killer after party. It will be a benefit concert for our local Autism Foundation. Our headliner is Freekbass, a great funk outfit from Cincy. Also, a couple great local artists are opening. Pieces donated and the ones made Tuesday at the event will be available for sale at the party, and at our event on Wednesday. The collab piece will be available through Volta Glass, and all proceeds are being donated.

Dude this sounds like so much fun I have always wanted to drive over . I am like two hours away. In fact if I can make it for a day just to shop and put faces to names I might just drive out and bring a order home. I know for a fact the shipping on a meager order is more than gas one way.

Check the photo gallery on our Facebook page for some good shots from our event. It was very successful and we raised a nice amount of money for our local Autism Foundation. We look forward to posting the final total.
