Prism Glassworks is pleased to announce a 2 day class with Tim Drier August 21st-22nd. The class is $600 and requires a $200 non-Refundable deposit. This class will hold up to 10 students and includes lunch on both days.
Class Title: Working with Rollers and a Hip Slide
The class will give students a chance to learn Tim’s unique style of flameworking in which the glass stays stationary on rollers while the flame moves around it. He will teach students how to use this technique to make cups, bowls, decanters sets, and large bottles.
Bio: Tim Drier has been a glassblower for 25 years, and applies his scientific glassblowing expertise to artistic flameworking. He concentrates on creating decanters, goblets, vases, and human sculptural forms. Drier has taught flameworking courses at Corning Museum of Glass and Pittsburgh Glass Center and has demonstrated at the International Flameworker's Conference at Salem Community College.
