It's a small world. :) Maybe it has something to do with glass and maybe we are all meant to be where we are with it and all - both workers and "appreciaters" alike.
Last year, I learned that someone right here in our glass community went to Jr. High with me. It is none other than BoxfanWilly! We lived in a town with a population of less than 20K.
Anyway, that is pretty cool to see someone you knew like that. I'm glad he won. It looks like he's happy about it. :)

Ha ha, skip. I know you like to call me an old lady, but I'm not all that old. Boxfan and I are the same age, and he's not old.
And yes, I am glad that I didn't stick around for H.S., as I heard it sucked.

I just said this guy looks a lot like our local K-9 officer...no shit.
Wish he had his glasses off.
Probably not.
C. C. is that corpus Christi? was there a few weeks ago.
On the way home, we got stopped by a Texas state Highway Patrolman, we were doing 70 mph, the posted limit..in the left lane, and he had somebody pulled over, turned around for a second...was able to determine my friend driving, wasn't wearing a seatbelt, jumped in his car and caught us a few miles down the road, we both had our belts on, but hey...who's gonna argue with a black cop in texas..even made him do the breathalizer for no reason...$129.00 ticket for nothing, now thats a racket huh?

Well, the town where we went to church was pop 200. That doesn't count. But, yeah, I know the town I lived in wasn't the smallest or anything but what are the odds that someday, I would grow up and move away and many, many years later get involved in glass, then hook up with someone from another part of the country entirely who is friends with someone that I went to Jr. High with, who had also become involved with glass? And weirder, yet, both of these guys are well-known in the glass world.
I really believe that some things in this life are really meant to be.
Steve, you bowl? I love bowling!!! Willy and I go bowling with my boys quite a bit. I have never bowled in a league, I'm not that great. I do have a pretty good hook for a girl, though. lol Willy's nephew is thinking about going pro. He recently bowled his second "300." Man, bowling is a lot of fun. I know some people think it's nerdy, but it's not.
PS We're into WWII stuff, too! Man, WWII, bowling, glass... how cool is that?
