Someone who has been posting on this forum did a horrible thing many years ago.
now I see him posting here.
I will never forget what you did.
And I'm sure you didn't return the 100 dollar membership fees you fraudulently charged.
And I still am basically computer illiterate and use an iMac. So no. I did not hack your webpage as you told everyone and gave them my at the time studio landline number to call and harass me.
I see that you recently had some trouble.
I wouldn't wish that on anyone.
In fact when I heard I said "that guy is a piece of shit but I hope he is well, that's horrible".
The thing is, the hatred toward lamp workers was pretty thick back then.
It all started with me disagreeing about using a national 3 a for soft glass.
It's a great torch for soft glass, if you use the correct flame......
So.
No. I didn't forget.
Not sure if you are forgiven.
HOWEVER!!!

The lamp workers won.
The American studio glass movement took a turn, and it was to the torch.
So.... Part of me smiled to see the posts here.
I'm also willing to accept an apology any old time.
The accomplice and one time treasurer of GAS didn't remember me, and I don't expect him to considering..... You know why.
I sought him out not long ago to address the extremely shitty nature of what you guys did to the at the time small online glass community, and to me.

I came here looking for some info. Didn't find what I was looking for. I won't be back here.
If you want to apologize you'll be able to get I touch with me through Facebook.
Otherwise..... Be well.
Sorry this is a weird post folks. But. I had to take the opportunity.
In my beginnings two guys tried to ruin my glass career for their own monetary gain.
That ain't cool. And they HATED HEAVILY on lamp workers.
So. We won.
Enjoy.

This forum isn't really the place for this and it certainly doesn't belong in this section.

I feel like I'm in touch with the history of this forum - And I don't have a clue what this is about.

We took a ton of heat from all sides. Soft glass blowers, "artists", bead makers, tool makers. The "old guard" didn't care for us much, and some were extremely vocal about it. What can you do except keep pushing forward and OWN the criticisms they threw at us.

Thankfully it's a new day. And hopefully we can be big enough to forgive but not forget. One love to all of the old school DEGENERATE ARTISTS.

I respect the artist (for his work), but it's not the first time I have seen him post "This is my last post"; complaining about something.
I have a few good guesses about the reason for this post... but he can't come here just to bitch, this forum is stronger than that.

John. I love you man. But really? This forum is not for dirty laundry. And like Jeff, I've no clue what you're talking about. I guess the person you want to see it will?

I'd love to see you around for what it is for; talking about glass.

Yeah, I think that's drama that came over from Facebook. Before today, Yahoo hadn't posted in two years.

Fuckem! I love all the artists that are making pipes or are at least collaborating on functional pieces who a few years ago talked shit about pipes and functional pieces being lowbrow or on a lower level of artistic endeaver or appreciation. They all went where the money is now bitches! Those haters made us and now we welcome them with open arms into our badass studios because we give no fucks. we came up regardless. if you gave a couple hundred to someone who didint deliver fuckem! I have had multiple friends who I trusted completely and when that tradeshow money was was in hands that werent mine i quickly knew who my friends were and who were not(fuckem!) walking away with both fingers in the air knowing that you are not the asshole douchebag untrustworthy piece of shit is a glorious feeling, but you need to be able to walk away and never think about them again.
