Okay ! Completely new to glass, been working on getting spoon technique down for about 3 weeks, have a long way to go. Only using clear. fume one or two every once and awhile. Here are some pics, I know they are crappy, some criticism and maybe some pointers would be appreciated. The pics are of one of about five that I thought where good enough to put in kiln. From what I have read in the forum here I am having the standard newbie problems... centering bowl hole, bowl hole size all over the place and just generally not consistent.

puff when you push your bowl, and angle the push slightly forward so the hole is pointing towards the bottom/face, as opposed to pointing straight down like yours. nice work so far though!

Smart move working with clear for awhile. You will thank yourself later. :)

Great advice above, that's all I was gonna say. And yes, more pics. :D

Actually I got one more tip for you. When you go to add the decorations, make sure the rod you're using to add the bumps is nice and evenly round before you stick it on the pipe. Then you have a much better chance of your decorations being round. Also get the pipe hot right where you attach it so that it accepts the glass and won't leave you with acute angles, which will cause cracks.

Good luck :D

When shaping the head, focus the heat on the equator and hold it up when you blow it out. That will help with the thin area at the end.
