ABR Imagery

I've recently been weaseled for 6 measly feet of type t hose that I purchased from abr slimagery & it's cost me hundreds in down time. Does anyone know of a company that sells quality tools/equipment for people that are not doing this as a hobby?

I'm not interested in 15yr old hose with gouges & bad fittings. Apparently they're fine with telling me to suck wind because I separated the back end of the hose (which did not effect performance at all)

Being broke for Valentine's day made a very unhappy customer out of me, Devardi glass seems to be ran by owners, instead of people trying to make owners happy

They have hose at really any welding supply, or most hardware stores. Hoses shouldn't keep anyone from working for long, good luck bud.

E: Just wanted to add, Dave is good about customer relations, I'm sure he'll get you squared away. Devardi though, that one gave me a chuckle.

Don't underestimate the little guy. Devardi seems to be ran by bosses & inventor's, not the hype train.

Hoses shouldn't keep anyone from working, unless you're broke & buy them from abr, then sneeze without covering your mouth.

80$ type t 3/8 from Prax air isn't in my budget.. would be if I could work.

If Dave can get me squared up they'd have another lifetime customer. But Id rather get blacklisted by them than get my nuts stepped on over a catch 22

It's an option now. You have to check it at check out online. Same goes for stickers and posters. They don't send them out willy nilly like the old days.

I would get my blow hose from wale then. I got one from them like 15 years ago and I still use it once in a while.
I was going to place a big order for glass with ABR but Asian is not on sale anymore. It cost now $120 a case plus shipping for my 25.4 mm heavy wall from them. I can get a 4 ft long 40 lbs case of Pyrex in 25.4 mm heavy wall from wale for $97.00 right now. Plus the ground shipping costs me less and only takes a day to get here.
But I will be ordering color and rods from ABR soon. I have not really had any problems with them. I actually like them a lot over there at ABR. But I can still look around for the best prices when I am running low on glass.

Everyone sends me stickers and posters. I have a big collection on my tool box now. Wale has the cool color chart poster.

Devardi....great for tools and equipment (they're grabbers are great, as are the reamers and such) and customer service. they're glassblowers/beadmakers themselves. Devardi branded glass (be it soft or boro) is total shit, but they're great for tools and equipment.

Mountain glass will never do you wrong. ever. and if they do, they will make it right and then some.

I actually might order color from Wale also. It is cheaper then ABR. I can get $8 lbs asian colors like blue, amber, and I think I am going to try out the green. I use NS Jade now but it is too expensive. I will continue to use NS Ruby Red but that is it in my production. Glass is expensive.

I looked into this, and see you bought the e-hose, which is an import hose. And I will agree it is lower quality stuff. It's a hose we got in a buy of a closing vendors inventory. We are trying to sell them super cheap, and clearly label on the website description to not separate the twin lines. They are pretty good for just splicing together a couple other hoses to make them longer. I realize that it is difficult to not split twin lines. So, I'd be happy to send you a length of our American made T Grade hose for free. Let me know if that can be arranged.



Here is the description from the site

3/8" X 6' T-Grade Glassblowing Gas and Oxygen Welding Hose with BB ends, 200psi. Connectors at both ends of hose. These are twin line hoses, and are not intended to be separated - they may be destroyed if you pull them apart!


We try to inform, but understand not everyone reads all the descriptions. Bottom line man, we are not trying to Slimagery anyone, though that is clever. So, please let me know if I can ship this hose to you so that you can see that for yourself.

I've also just instructed the print shop to put a warning sticker on all the remaining stock, which should have been done earlier. For that we apologize.

Seems lyke you and hoses don't get Along all that much..
You get what you pay for with hoses, glasses and ventilation.
Though I've had some minor issues with ABR Imagery over the years, they've always made it right, never fealt intentionally hosed.

Jimi, not sure why you sweat my always awesome ventilation? I had two pairs of shade 3's (one & a half actually) & lost my good pair when I moved last year.

I don't sweat anything really, not since the morning after pill came out.
None of that was directed at your personal equipment, just listing things off the top of my head that are worth paying for.
