I have helped countless people as I was helped when I started out. I have written tutorials, prob over or near 100 videos on youtube and google, tutorials on podcasts (before Mike Mason became a raging dick on Torch Talk), and personally video chatted with people to help them figure shit out.

But before I asked dumb ass basic questions I did my research. I read as much as I could. I use Google, yes there is a thing called google. I watched videos, I experimented a lot.

So when I suggest you do research because you have been on the board for 4 months and are asking questions an 8 year old could find the answers to in 5 minutes on google...don't get all pissy and annoying.

Seriously tho... If you can't put yourself out there, don't. If anything someone says offends you, you're giving them that power - it's your fault!

I put a ton of information out there (most of it's still good, some of it was over eager noob shit tho) and never asked for anything in return, nor get particularly upset if someone doesn't get it. There's 7 billion people in the world, why would let one of them ruin your day? Also, the other side is valid: There's 7 billion people in the world, why go out of your way to be rude to one of them?

I've learned from all this that there's just no helping some people, everyone has an opinion, and to pick and chose the ones I spend any energy on. 99% of the people I meet are just passers by, not worth the effort to engage in a positive or negative way. It's much easier to make time and energy for the good people in your life and limit the bad.

These days, frequently all have to know others by are these words on the Internet. Do you want to be the guy the world sees as whining about how much other people do things you don't like, or do you want to just keep doing what you do and appreciate those who appreciate you?

If someone makes you mad on the Internet walk away from it... petty bickering BS in public makes you look worse to the people who otherwise don't care and don't have a stake in it, but have to see it.

I had used mantis in previous work and the batch I got was not mixed completely. In the end Justin admitted he was wrong after cursing me out and telling me I didn't know shit about his color and he didn't care about customers only his friends. That is all well documented and many guys I know that loved GL33 stopped using it after they saw Justin melt down on a nuclear level. I don't sit quietly by and get fucked and that entire thing was not started aggressively...Justin made it that way publicly and I allowed him to make an ass of himself. Now someone I respect a great deal handles his QC and cut off his internet priveleges because of that incident...but I still won't support him by using his color.

You are certainly entitled to your opinion on that situation but I can tell you that no one that read thet nonsense on FB though Justin handled it well and not one of them thought, given my history of supporting GL33 and experience with Mantis especially, I didn't know how to use the color.

I am not painting myself into a corner. When someone says my work is cheesy and has basically no clue with their few months experience I take offense when they still act dickish when I point them to MACA to learn more.
