Clean your bench occasionally

I found SO much clear just by cleaning up...ugh.

I've been cleaning my work area and storage out this week... finding treasure! So far I've found over a half pound of draconis satins.

I've got probably 30 pounds of usable scrap punties and tubing. 40+ pounds of color...

Now to clean off my actual bench, gonna be a productive couple weeks now :)

Yup, I filled 1/3 of a 40 lb kitty litter bag with the unusable stuff. Still had a mess of glass that I can do stuff with. Now to actually do stuff.

Lately iv been cleaning up after the last piece goes into the kiln, have a little safety break police up some and it been getting better with not such a dangerous mess.

I had some blocks of wood with holes drilled in them for prep. I drilled the holes too small so they were worthless. I drilled them all out to 14mm so a lightly flared blow tube will fit in the holes. That was annoying so I fixed it a couple nights age at 2:00am on the drill press.

For clear scraps I have 5 gallon totes, for shorts of colors I have a couple bread baking pans from the dollar store to toss them all into.

It would be nice to have a big high fire kiln and a mold to throw scraps into and fuse the scrap into garden stepping stones or something.

I drilled the holes in mine big enough to hold a piece of 12mm. For bigger stuff, I put a piece of clear in there so it's sticking up and out and put the tube on that.
